An Environmental Friendly Hotel.
For us, “Going Green” is more than just a statement… it’s essential part to lodging
responsibility, environmental friendliness, and a step towards preserving our earth,
one customer at a time.
That’s why at the Royal Inn, we're making changes to “Go Green” and hope our
customers will support our actions.
While we are attempting to make sustainable practices in different aspects in our
operations, our environmental focus all together is to reduce our carbon footprint
(through consumption reductions and “green” amenities). Below are some
examples that the management has put forth to reduce the carbon footprint.

Conservation – Consumption Reduction
- Housekeeping ensures that all lights and televisions are turned off in all
guestrooms
- We have installed low-flow water devices for our faucets and toilets
- During periods of low occupancy, we have developed a plan to ensure
that heating/cooling units and electrical appliances are turned off unless
required
- Incandescent bulbs were replaced by energy-efficient CFL bulbs which
emit 67% more light and use 62% less energy
- Large Amana Digital AC/Heat Units with PTAC technology which can
reduce energy consumption by up to 35%
Recycling
- Staff ensures that light bulbs, batteries, and electronic equipment are
recycled properly
- Our team also recycles toner and ink cartridges from printing services
Conservation – Green In-room Amenities
- Sealy Posturepedic Encore Series Beds where Sealy Corporation®
recognizes the importance of environmental sustainability and takes serious
corporate responsibility for good intentions.
- Management has put new CLEAN REMOTE® remotes which has non-porous
surface that makes it simple to clean and disinfect to help prevent spread
of germs, colds, and viruses between guests (coming in spring)
- Housekeeping staff does room service everyday to reduce dust/bacteria
buildup
- Soaps and shampoos do not contain animal fat while our Georgia Pacific
facial tissue is “Green by Design”
